A graduate from University of Dhaka, Afzalur Rahman Sinha was chairman of Acme Laboratories Limited, Acme Group, chairman and managing director of Acme Agrovet and Beverages Limited, managing director of Acme IT Limited and Sinha Printers Limited, president of Azad Boys Club, Bangladesh Billiards and Snooker Federation and Surjo Tarun Club

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director and BPL T20 governing council chairman Afzalur Rahman Sinha passed away Wednesday. He breathed his last at at the Gleneagles Global Hospital in Chennai, India.

Sinha, 68, was also a director at Abahani Limited. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Abahani Limited express deep sadness at the passing away of Board Member Afzalur Rahman Sinha through official press releases. Both the BCB and Abahani Limited extends heartfelt sympathies to his family members and near ones also.

At the time of his death Sinha had been serving as the Chairman of the Board’s Finance Committee. He was also the Chairman of the BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) Governing Council of the BCB. A renowned cricket organiser,  Sinha was the President of Dhaka League club Surjo Tarun with which he had been involved for two decades. He was a Director of Abahani Limited and had been the President of Azad Boys Club.  

Mr Sinha, a Freedom Fighter, was elected to the BCB in 1998 and had successfully served in many capacities including that of the Board’s Treasurer.

A graduate from University of Dhaka, Sinha was chairman of Acme Laboratories Limited, Acme Group, chairman and managing director of Acme Agrovet and Beverages Limited, managing director of Acme IT Limited and Sinha Printers Limited, president of Bangladesh Billiards and Snooker Federation and Surjo Tarun Club as well.
