Mustafizur impresses against Sri Lanka A

Left-arm spinner Sanjamul Islam's four-for and Mustafizur Rahman's three wickets, aided host Bangladesh A restrict Sri Lanka A to 312 runs in the first innings. Bangladesh A trailed by 88 runs with nine wickets to spare in the second innings at stumps on day two of the third and final four-day game of the series at Sylhet International Stadium Wednesday.

Sri Lanka resumed their first innings on their overnight score of 78 for three. Guided by opener Shehan Jayasuriya's 142 runs and another 60 by Shammu Ashan, the visitor posted 312 runs before getting all-out in the innings. Bangladesh spinner Sanjamul recorded his eighth first-class four-wicket haul conceding 104 runs in 28.1 overs.

Left-arm pacer Mustafizur showed good signs coming into the game recovering from two injuries and finished with three scalps. Mustafizur is set to fly off to the West Indies Saturday to join the Bangladesh ODI squad. Later in the day, Bangladesh batted out 17 overs and posted 57 runs losing three wickets. Opener Soumya Sarkar was not out on 24 alongside Mizanur Rahman, who was unbeaten on 13.
