Sabbir, Mosaddek tons lead Bangladesh A reply

Mosaddek Hossain and Sabbir Rahman registered centuries as host Bangladesh A team trailed Sri Lanka A side by 89 runs with six wickets remaining at stumps on day three of the first four-day match in Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium. Resuming on their overnight score of 44 for the loss of two wickets in 17 overs, the home side posted 360 losing four wickets in 112 overs. 

Middle-order batsman Sabbir was unbeaten on 144 off 257 balls with 13 fours and a couple of sixes while Mosaddek added a 243-ball 135 to the tally, featuring nine boundaries and three over boundaries, before being dismissed by Prabath Jayasuriya.

Tushar Imran, the experienced campaigner, made a fairytale return to the Bangladesh A team, riding on a run of consistent performances in the domestic circuit, but was able to score only 25. Sabbir was undefeated at stumps alongside Zakir Hasan, who was not out on 27.
