Shakib al Hasan is the third cricketer in history to claim the feat after former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis and ex-Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan emerged as the fastest cricketer to reach the double of 500 international wickets and 10,000 runs. Shakib went into the third and final T20I against Afghanistan at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, India Thursday with 499 scalps under his belt. He dismissed Najibullah Zadran to achieve the feat in just 302 international matches.

Shakib is the third cricketer in history to claim the feat after former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis and ex-Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi. However, both the cricketers took more games than Shakib to clinch the feat. Kallis took 420 matches to reach the milestone while Afridi needed 477 games.
