Shakib joins elite list of T20 greats
Ace Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan added yet another feather to his already decorated hat when he became just the second cricketer in history, after the West Indies' Dwayne Bravo, to score 4,000 runs and take 300 wickets in T20s. The 31-year old Shakib achieved the feat while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Mumbai Indians at the IPL in Mumbai Tuesday. Shakib, who had 299 T20 wickets to his credit prior to the Mumbai game, joined the 300-wicket club after dismissing captain Rohit Sharma while he crossed 4,000 runs in T20s against Kolkata Knight Riders this season. Overall, the maverick Tigers all-rounder is just the fifth bowler in history to bag 300 wickets or more in the shortest format of the game. Remarkably, Shakib is the first left-armer in history to take more than 300 wickets in T20s. Shakib has taken three five-fors in T20s, and seven four-fors over the course of his career. His career-best T20 bowling figure of 6/6 came while representing Barbados Tridents in the 2013 CPL. T20s' top five elite all-rounders Dwayne Bravo 5,607 runs, 417 wickets Shakib al Hasan 4,069 runs, 300 wickets Shahid Afridi 3,893 runs, 300 wickets Kieron Pollard 8,103 runs, 251 wickets Shane Watson 6,640 runs, 215 wickets
