Bangladesh paceman Mustafizur Rahman shone brightly with the ball yet again but his side Mumbai Indians continued their losing streak in the IPL 2018.
The Fizz registered miserly bowling figure of 1/25 in his quota of four overs but it was not enough as Delhi Daredevils reached their target of 195 losing three wickets in their stipulated 20 overs in Mumbai Saturday. Mustafizur had dismissed Delhi captain Gautam Gambhir.
Delhi's English opener Jason Roy led the way with an unbeaten 53-ball 91, featuring half a dozen sixes, and as many fours.
Earlier, Mumbai posted a challenging 194 for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs, opener Suryakumar Yadav top-scoring for his side with 53 off 32 deliveries, including seven boundaries and a sixer.
This is Mumbai's third straight defeat in this season's IPL. They will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore Tuesday in Mumbai at 8:30pm, Bangladesh standard time.
Ace Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan however, tasted victory once again as his side Sunrisers Hyderabad Saturday coasted to a five-wicket win against Kolkata Knight Riders, Shakib's former employers.
In Kolkata, Shakib was his usual economical self, conceding 21 runs in his four overs and dismissing Australia opener Chris Lynn and West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine as the Knight Riders registered a moderate 138/8 in 20 overs.
In reply, Sunrisers reached their destination with an over to spare, Shakib adding an useful 21-ball 27, composed with a couple of fours and an over boundary.
In the process, table-topper Sunrisers recorded their third victory in a row this season. They will face Kings XI Punjab Thursday in Chandigarh at 8:30pm.
