In the other game Thursday, Prime Bank South Zone were batting on 142 for the loss of three wickets in 32 overs at stumps on day three against Islami Bank East Zone at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
North Zone v Central Zone
Resuming the day on 0/0 in one over, North Zone ended the day on 286 losing seven wickets in 86 overs, riding on Mushfiq’s 101 off 199 balls, featuring seven fours and a six.
Ebadat Hossain bagged three wickets for Central Zone.
East Zone v South Zone
South Zone lead East Zone by 245 runs after the former concluded day three on 142/3, Tushar Imran remaining unbeaten on 46 off 67 deliveries, including eight fours.
Earlier, East Zone, who began the day on 95/3 in 33 overs, were dismissed for 300 in 95.5 overs, South Zone’s Kamrul Islam Rabbi causing the most damage taking four wickets. Rabbi was supported ably by Abdur Razzak and Nayeem Hasan, who picked up three wickets apiece.
East Zone’s Jaker Ali scored the highest 76 for his side, his 154-ball knock composed with half a dozen fours and four sixes.
