A well known coach will join the Bangladesh cricket team in the first week of April, said BCB president Nazmul Hasan.
The Tigers' head coach's post has been vacant ever since former Sri Lanka cricketer Chandika Hathurusingha resigned late last year following Bangladesh's tour of South Africa.
West Indies great Courtney Walsh, who is the Tigers' pace bowling coach, was named the interim Bangladesh head coach for the Nidahas T20I tri-nation series involving India and host Sri Lanka.
"We have finalised our head coach. He is expected to join the Bangladesh team by the first week of April. I am not going to reveal the name right now but I can say he is a well known figure, not someone unknown like Hathurusingha," said Nazmul.
