Former Bangladesh cricket team captain and the country's first Test match centurion, Aminul Islam Bulbul has expressed fury after BCB cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan said Bulbul was offered to work with Bangladesh cricket several times.
Akram told a local news portal that since Bulbul is busy working in his capacity as the development manager of Asia, ICC, he could not accept the offers made by the BCB.
In reply, Bulbul said he was never approached by cricket's governing body in the country.
In a social media post, Bulbul said, "I am shocked, surprised and disgusted by the headline.
"I never got any formal offer from BCB from any level (U-19 to the National team). This year, I found during BPL that my name in not even in the list of captains entitled for Captain Box.
"I get sincere offer from several BPL and DPL teams every year. I am grateful to them. I reject with a heavy heart as I can not leave my job to do 1 month of coaching.
"Is Akram Khan talking on behalf of Cricket Operations, BCB or his BPL team?
"I was fine with not getting the offer BUT I am seriously angry with these lies. Please be honest with what you say and do.
"Bangladesh Cricket Development is at ICU now."
