Right-arm paceman Lasith Malinga missed out on a place as Sri Lanka announced the 15-man squad for the Nidahas series 2018, featuring India and Bangladesh.
Along with Malinga, wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella was also overlooked for the tri-nation T20I series.
Stumper-batsman Dinesh Chandimal will continue to lead the side in the absence of regular captain Angelo Mathews, who is injured.
The tournament, scheduled to celebrate Sri Lanka's 70th Independence Day, will feature round-robin matches between the three sides with the final to be held on March 18. All seven matches, including the final, will be held at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
