Fide Master Fahad continues unbeaten streak in Kolkata
Young Fide Master Fahad Rahman continued his unbeaten steak to share second spot after the halfway stage in the 26th edition of the Telegraph Schools’ Chess Championship, which is being held in Kolkata. The fifth and sixth round matches were held Tuesday where Fahad defeated Ambarish Sharma of India and drew against Indian FM Mitrabha Guha respectively to be placed jointly at second, along with two others with 5.5 points. Tahsin Tajwar Zia, son of Bangladesh and the sub-continent's first Grandmaster, Ziaur Rahman, shared third position with five points after beating Ayan Pal of India in the sixth round. Mahfuzur Rahman Saif earned four points while Manon Reja Neer earned 3.5 points.
