The sixth edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League will start from Tuesday. In the first round matches, defending champion BCB North Zone will take on Walton Central Zone at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. In the other game of the sixth round, Prime Bank South Zone will face Islami Bank East Zone at BKSP in Dhaka.
Majority of the national cricketers will not be available due to national team duty for the tri-nation series, comprising host Bangladesh and visiting side Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, followed by Test match and T20I series against the Lankans.
The tournament will be held in two phases. The first phase will hold three rounds of the tournament before getting suspended to make room for the Dhaka Premier League 2018. The Dhaka League is scheduled to start from February 5.
