Dutch Bangla Bank Rocket has become the title sponsor of the tri-nation series featuring host Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
The tri-series will now be known as the Dutch Bangla Bank Rocket Series.
The details were announced in a press conference at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Sunday.
BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury, media and communications committee chairman Jalal Yunus and Impress Telefilm Consortium chairman Faridur Reza Sagar were present among others during the presser.
The BCB CEO informed that tickets will be available via online and during matchdays at the venue.
Nizamuddin also stated that local law enforcement agencies will take special initiatives to control betting during the series.
“A discussion is currently going on as to how we could punish offenders who carry out illegal betting during the series. Government high-ups have ordered local police to control the situation and ensure security within and outside the stadium at venues like Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet,” Nizamuddin said to the media.
Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will contest the opening match of the tri-series next Monday.
The Tigers will then take on Sri Lanka on January 19 before facing Zimbabwe again on January 23. The home side will conclude their double round robin league campaign against the Lankans on January 25. The grand finale will be held on January 27.
All the matches will be held in Mirpur.
