BCB High Performance Unit thrashed Northern Territory Invitational XI in the fifth one-dayer to register a 5-0 series whitewash. BCB HP produced a team effort in the final one-dayer to win by 151 runs at Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin on Tuesday.
Batting first, the visiting side posted 269 before being dismissed with three balls remaining. The innings was guided by wicketkeeper-batsman Anamul Haque’s half-century. Anamul struck 53 off 51 deliveries with five boundaries and three over-boundaries. Irfan Sukkur and Tasamul Haque added 46 runs each to the tally to take the tourist to a challenging total.
J Doyle picked up three wickets for Northern Territory.
Defending the target, pacers Abul Hasan and Saifuddin bagged three wickets each to steer the BCB HP to victory as Northern Territory were skittled out for 118 in 30.4 overs. Abul conceded 20 bowling five overs while Saifuddin gave away 13 in four overs. Another pacer Abu Jayed took two wickets.

Garrod Freeman scored 29, the highest for the home side.
In their 16-day long camp, the BCB HP are now due to play the lone three-day game against the same opponent. The game is set to begin on Thursday at the same venue.
