All-rounder Saifuddin struck an unbeaten hundred to guide the BCB High Performance Unit to their third consecutive one-day win over Northern Territory Invitational XI, this time by 42 runs at Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin on Friday.
The visiting side posted a challenging total of 267 from 50 overs with opener Anamul Haque and all-rounder Tanbir Hayder both adding 36.
But it was Saifuddin who took charge and ensured the tourist would post a fighting tally on the board as the left hander, who picked up four wickets in the second game, went on to remain unbeaten on a run-a-ball 104, featuring five sixes and as many fours.
Freeman bagged four wickets for the bowling side.
In reply, the home side were bundled out for 225 in 45.5 overs with only Aleck Gregory, who smashed a century, fighting a lone battle for the batting side. He scored 144 off 131 balls before being dismissed by Saifuddin but none of the other batsmen were able to provide support.
Fast bowler Ebadat Hossain took three wickets while left-arm seamer Abu Haider Rony notched two for the BCB HP side.
The two teams will face each other in the fourth one-dayer at the same venue on Sunday.
