India humiliate Bangladesh by 240 runs in last warm-up

Bangladesh 84 (23.5 overs overs) India 324/7 (50 overs) India beat Bangladesh by 240 runs after setting a target of 325  in their last warm-up match before ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Bangladesh had won the toss and elected to field. Taskin Ahmed, 1 runs off 9 balls, was left as the last man standing. Soumya Sarkar, who opened the batting for Bangladesh with Kayes, was caught behind off the bowling of Yadav on the second ball of the fourth over. Sabbir Rahman, replacing him at the crease, was bowled out just three balls later without troubling the scorers. Mushfiqur Rahim came in to bat at second down. Imrul Kayes was then dismissed on the fourth ball of the very next over, caught out off the bowling of Kumar after scoring 7 runs off 17 balls, bringing Shakib to the crease. Shakib, however, failed to produce a substantial innings and was caught out off a bouncer from Kumar on the third ball of the seventh over, after scoring just 7 runs from 7 balls. Mahmudullah came in to replace Shakib but returned to the pavilion almost immediately, caught behind just two balls later in the same over while on a duck. Mosaddek was next man on the carousel, out caught behind off the bowling of Yadav in the eighth over while also on a duck. Mehedi came in as his replacement. Mushfiqur Rahim attempted to steady the ship for a time but was then also caught out, this time off the bowling of Mohammad Shami in the 13th over, after scoring 13 runs off 18 balls. Mehedi Hasan scored 24 runs off 33 balls before he was dismissed caught behind off the bowling of Bumrah on the fourth ball of the 20th over. Sunzamul Islam fought hard for 16 runs off 34 balls, but was also caught out off the bowling of Bumrah on the third ball of the 23rd over. His replacement Rubel Hossain was then caught out off the bowling of Pandya on the fifth ball of the 24th over, after scoring no runs off 7 balls, to end the innings. Earlier, Hardik Pandya, 80 runs off 54 balls, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 1 run off 1 ball, finished the innings unbeaten for India. Rohit Sharma, who opened the batting for India with Dhawan, was bowled out by Rubel Hossain on the first ball of the second over after scoring just 1 run from 3 balls. Ajinkya Rahane, in at first down, was then dismissed by Mustafizur in a near identical manner on the first ball of the sixth over, after he had scored 11 runs off 21 balls. Dinesh Karthik came in at second down. Shikhar Dhawan, 60 runs off 67 balls, was next to get out, caught off the bowling of Sunzamul Islam on the fourth ball of the 23rd over. Kedar Jadav, replacing him at the crease, was then bowled out on the penultimate ball of the 33rd over as Sunzamul picked up his second. The batsman contributed 31 runs off 38 balls in a fine partnership with Karthik. Hardik Pandya was next to pad up. Dinesh Karthik then retired out in the 35th over, six short of his century with a lightning 94 runs off 73 balls, as India looked to give more of their batsman a chance to warm up. Ravindra Jadeja, in for Karthik, then scored 32 runs off 36 balls in another strong Indian partnership, this time with Panday. The former was caught out off the bowling of Shakib Al Hasan on the fifth ball of the 48th over, bringing Ashwin to the crease. Ashwin did not make it to the end of the innings, bowled out after scoring 5 runs off 4 balls in the last over.
