Mosaddek struck the first century of the tournament to guide defending champion Abahani to a winning start while Sunny served the same cause for Doleshwar, picking up five wickets.
Abahani v Khelaghar
Mosaddek smashed 110 runs off 85 balls as the Sky Blues defeated Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity by five wickets in Fatullah’s Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium.
Khelaghar batted first and riding on two half-centuries, posted 293 on the board losing six wickets. The start was a bit shaky for Khelaghar as they lost opening batsman Salauddin Pappu for three. But captain Nafees Iqbal led from the front, scoring a 68-ball 78, while the other opener Robiul Islam Robi chipped in with 74. Masum Khan added a quick 31, off 18, as Khelaghar ended their innings on a high.
Pacer Mohammad Saifuddin bagged three wickets conceding 45.
Chasing the target, Abahani lost opener Saif Hasan for a duck; seamer Dollar Mahmud cleaning up the batsman in the second ball of the innings. Khelaghar attack removed four more Abahani batsmen but Mosaddek’s heroic century, complemented by skipper Mahmudullah’s 59, saw them cruise to victory. Mosaddek hammered a dozen boundaries and two over boundaries during his unbeaten knock.

Sunny registered a five-wicket haul to steer Prime Doleshwar to a 78-run win against Partex at BKSP Ground 3.

At the end of 50 overs, Partex scored 209/9 with Yash Pal leading the way with 74. Sunny gave away 33 in his quota of 10 overs.
Earlier, opener Abdul Mazid’s 77 and captain Marshal Ayub’s 63 enabled Prime Doleshwar to 287. Golam Kabir picked up three wickets for Partex.
