Bangladesh off-spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz is going to take part in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as the youngster has been signed by Trinbago Knight Riders for the 2017 season.
Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) made one change to their current squad following the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Player Draft last month. Australia’s Brad Hogg will no longer be available for the 2017 season. Trinbago have replaced Hogg with Miraz, who will be making his tournament bow.
Miraz will be the third Bangladesh player to take part in the CPL after Shakib al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal. All rounder Shakib will play for Jamaica Tallawahs for the second successive season.
Miraz, 19, has played in seven Test matches and made his One-Day International (ODI) and T20i debuts in the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka.
The tournament will start from August 1 this year.
