Anamul got the opportunity to play for franchise Quetta Gladiators in the grand finale of the second edition after the side's foreign cricketers opted out due to security concern. Quetta emerged as the first finalist while the second will be decided from the semi-final between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi.
“Anamul applied for NOC from the BCB cricket operations committee to participate in the PSL final. The board granted his application,” informed BCB cricket operations chairman Akram Khan on Friday.
Meanwhile, national discard Anamul informed that he is elated after getting the opportunity. He will leave Dhaka for Lahore on Saturday. His flight schedule however, was yet to be decided when this report was filed.
“I would have accepted any decision from the BCB. Now that I have been allowed, I look forward to the game. If given the opportunity in the playing XI, I will try to give my best. The platform is huge,” said Anamul.
“I informed them (Quetta) of getting the NOC a while ago. My flight is yet to be confirmed,” he added.
Anamul will be the only Bangladesh representative in the final, scheduled to be held in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Quetta offered Anamul a place in the dressing room on Thursday.
