Comilla Victorians v Rangpur Riders
Aggressive Comilla in first 10 overs
Comilla lost the toss and were invited to bat first by Rangpur. The decision however, backfired as Comilla, the defending champions of the tournament, started aggressively. Although this was their last match of the Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20's fourth edition, their opening wicket pair Imrul Kayes and Khalid Latif batted with aggression at the middle. They formed an 88-run partnership. As it were, Comilla were 87 for no loss after 10 overs. Kayes was particularly harsh on the Rangpur bowlers compared to Latif. Kayes scored 52 off 35 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes while Latif made 43, featuring three fours and a couple of sixes. Throughout BPL 4, batting was the main concern for Comilla. If Comilla had batted like Sunday in the earlier matches, then most of their negative results could have been overturned.

Comilla's Rashid Khan bowls as Rangpur's Shahid Afridi looks on DHAKA TRIBUNE
Rashid spins Comilla to victory
Chasing Comilla’s 170/6, Rangpur were well on their way to victory right from the very beginning. Mohammad Shahzad scored a quickfire 45 off 31 balls. In the middle stages of their innings, Shahid Afridi also played an explosive innings of 38 runs form 19 deliveries. But leg-spinner Rashid Khan was vital for Comilla as he brought his side right back into the game. Comilla captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza preserved Rashid and only brought him to the attack in the 13th over. The step worked wonders as Rashid bowled brilliantly in the latter stages of the game and restricted Rangpur to 162/8. Rashid took three vital wickets, that of Rangpur captain Naeem Islam, Afridi and Sohag Gazi, conceding 13 runs in his four overs.

Khulna Titans' Hasanuzzaman sweeps against Dhaka Dynamites DHAKA TRIBUNE
Hasanuzzaman sets tone
Khulna’s opening batsman Hasanuzzaman played his best innings in BPL 4 so far. It was a must win game for Khulna in order to clinch a spot in the top four and the right-handed opener stood tall for his team. Hasanuzzaman played a magnificent innings of 40 from just 19 balls while chasing a challenging target of 159. Hasanuzzaman smashed three sixes and equal number of boundaries during his innings. The two sixes he hit against Dhaka captain Shakib al Hasan were perhaps the best shots of his knock. His explosive innings set the tone for the rest of the batsmen to chase down their target against the competitive bowling unit of Dhaka.
