Razzak, Al Amin wreck Barisal in NCL

Khulna v Barisal (tier one) - Veteran spinner Abdur Razzak and pacer Al Amin Hossain’s three-wicket hauls helped Khulna dismiss Barisal for 261 runs on the second day of the first round in the 18th NCL on Monday. At stumps, Khulna trailed by 40 runs with six wickets remaining in their first innings. The tier one game at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna resumed with Barisal on 165 with seven wickets in hand. Monir Hossain’s 57 runs ensured Barisal made some progress but it was Al Amin and Razzak who had the last laugh. In reply, Khulna, propelled by Tushar Imran’s 91 and opening batsman Mahedi Hasan’s 85, posted 221 runs on the board losing four wickets. Right-arm pacer Golam Kabir picked up three wickets for Barisal.Chittagong v Rangpur (tier two) - At Sylhet International Stadium, Rangpur trail by 185 runs with five wickets remaining in their first innings, in reply to Chittagong’s 368. The tier two match resumed on day two with Chittagong on 294 for 5. However, the port-city outfit could only add 74 runs to the tally before losing all of their wickets. Noor Hossain remained unbeaten on 40. Alauddin Babu and Sajedul Islam bagged two wickets each for Rangpur. Later, Rangpur finished the day on 183 runs for the loss of five wickets in 59 overs. Opener Sayman Ahmed scored 53 with the help of seven boundaries.
