Bangladesh women beat Ireland women by 10 runs in the third ODI at Instonians Cricket Club on Saturday. This game was added late in the tour after the first two ODIs were abandoned due to rain.
Batting first, the visitors were bowled out for 106 in 40.1 overs with Sanjida Islam top scoring with 33.
Then it was Rumana Ahmed’s turn to give the visitors dominance as her hat-trick, all leg-before wickets, helped bundle Ireland out for just 96 runs.
This was Bangladesh’s fifth ODI win in 20 attempts and the second win over Ireland, whom they beat in their inaugural ODI in 2011.
The tour ends on a sweet note for Bangladesh after they lost the first T20I by a close margin while the second T20I was abandoned due to rain.
