Bangladesh Navy’s Candidate Master Mahtab Uddin Ahmed Robin emerged as the unbeaten champion in the May Day Rapid Chess with 6.5 points from seven matches.
Sonali Bank Sports and Entertainment Club’s Abu Hanif and Titas Club’s Candidate Master Sohel Chowdhury finished with five points each but the former became the runners-up following the tie-breaking system.
Leonine Club’s Giasuddin Ahmed Mithu and Jewel Khan, Shaheen Club’s Masum Hossain and Janata Bank Officers’ Welfare Society’s Fide Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon finished fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
