Elegant International Academy’s Nusrat Jahan Alo clinched the 10th edition of the Begum Laila Alam International Rating Chess Saturday.
Four players had equal 5.5 points after the end of the seventh round, and Nusrat claimed the title in tie-break.
In the last round, Nusrat drew with Rani Hamid.
Jannatul Ferdous of Elegant International Academy finished runners-up while Debon Air Club’s Afrin Jahan Muniya ended third.
Fire Service and Civil Defence’s Women’s International Master Rani finished fourth, while Ahmed Waliza, Wadifa Ahmed, Nazrana Khan, Warsiya Khushbu and Jakia Sultana ended fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.
