Asian Youth Chess Championship: Manon second after round eight
Candidate Master Manon Reja Neer finds himself at second position in the Asian Youth Chess Championship 2018 with 6.5 points in the Open U-8 age-group after the eighth and penultimate round in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Fide Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman earned 4.5 points in the Open U-18 group. Noshin Anjum earned 4.5 points in the girls’ U-14 group while Swarnavo Choudhury earned four points in the Open U-12 group. On Saturday, Manon beat Chyngyz Sultai of Kyrgyzstan, Fahad beat Eminjonov Muzaffarjon of Uzbekistan, Noshin beat Pham Tran Gia Thu of Vietnam while Swarnavo beat Alriyami Faris Rashid of Thailand.
