Five teams rule Premier Division Chess
Five teams, including reigning champions Sheikh Russel Memorial Sporting Club, are currently leading the points table of the Premier Division Chess League 2016 after the end of the second round at the National Sports Council auditorium on Wednesday. Other leading teams are Saif Sporting Club, Bangladesh Navy, Titas Club and Leonine Club. All registered victories and earned four points from two rounds of action. In the second round, Sheikh Russel comprising Bangladesh Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman, Russian GM Boris Grachev, Tajikistan GM Amonatov Farrukh and International Master Abu Sufian Shakil beat Golden Sporting Club 4-0. Saif Sporting outplayed Masud Sports Club 4-0 while Navy beat Sonali Bank Sports and Recreation Club with the same margin. Titas beat Sultana Kamal Smriti Pathagar 3-1 and Leonine beat Fire Service and Civil Defense Sports Club.
