Cricket Scotland took to their official social media account to acknowledge little Rebecca’s effort
12-year old Rebecca Downie has emerged as a sensation amid the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.
Rebecca from Haddington, a town in East Lothian, Scotland is the designer of the Scotland match jersey in the world event.
Cricket Scotland Tuesday took to their official social media account to acknowledge little Rebecca’s effort in designing perhaps one of the best looking team dress in this T20 World Cup.
“Scotland’s kit designer. 12 year-old Rebecca Downie from Haddington. She was following our first game on TV, proudly sporting the shirt she designed herself. Thank you again Rebecca!” said Cricket Scotland in the social media post.
Scotland in Group B of the qualifying round of the event had a flying start defeating Bangladesh in their first game at Al Amerat Stadium in Muscat Sunday.
Scotland won the game by six runs defending 140 against group favorites Bangladesh.
Scotland registered their second win in the competition at the same venue Tuesday, defending 166 successfully when this report was filed.
Chasing the target, Papua New Guinea were all out for 148 in 19.3 overs.
A team at this stage will need at least two wins to be in contention for a place in the main event of the tournament, and Scotland have now enhanced their prospects with the victory against PNG.
