Murad takes five as A team post 223 on day one

Murad took five wickets conceding 47 runs from 22.1 overs

Bangladesh HP team’s Hasan Murad took five wickets against Bangladesh A side as HP team finished day one in a slight advantage in their four-day match at Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium Wednesday.

HP team captain Akbar Ali won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Bangladesh A openers Saif Hasan and Shadman Islam started slowly as HP team opening pair Sumon Khan and Rejaur Rahman bowled economically.

Both Saif and Shadman departed within 11 overs as Sumon took both the wickets.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto and skipper Mominul Haque then formed an 88-run partnership for the fourth wicket before Mominul got out scoring 62 with six fours and one six.

Murad then took charge and created pressure on the A team middle-order.

Shanto fought from one end and scored 72 off 208 deliveries with four fours and one six.

Murad took five wickets in the end, conceding 47 runs from 22.1 overs.

Eventually A team finished the day with 223 losing nine wickets.
