After a protracted battle with liver cancer, star national footballer Badal passed away in November last year
The press box of Bangabandhu National Stadium will be named after late footballer Badal Roy, who passed away in November last year.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell confirmed this at a function Wednesday.
Former star national footballer Badal was a long-serving footballer at Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and received the National Sports Award in 2009 for his lifelong services to Bangladesh football.
After a protracted battle with liver cancer, Badal, also a veteran sports organizer and three-time Bangladesh Football Federation vice president, passed away at 61.
