Bangladesh cricketer Mohammad Saifuddin took to his official social media account to inform of the incident on Thursday

The 24-year old cricketer from Feni in a post claimed that the courier service had broken two of his bats which he had sent to Rajshahi for repair, and that none from SA Paribahan is taking responsibility of the broken goods

Bangladesh all-rounder Saifuddin posted on social media of his bitter experience with SA Paribahan.

The 24-year old cricketer from Feni in a post claimed that the courier service had broken two of his bats which he had sent to Rajshahi for repair, and that none from SA Paribahan is taking responsibility of the broken goods.

“With the series against Zimbabwe in weeks, I had sent two bats from Feni to Rajshahi through SA Paribahan for repair. But instead of the repair, the bats are now severely damaged and SA Paribahan is not taking any responsibility. I am more upset because I had taken the bats from Shakib bhai [Shakib al Hasan] a few days back,” said Saifuddin in the social media post Thursday.

When reached by the media, Saifuddin informed that one of the bat costs Tk40,000 and the other Tk35,000.

“But now they are saying it was an accident and not taking responsibility. They are citing different reasons. Due to the lockdown it is difficult for me now to get the new bats from my sponsor. I am not sure how to deal with this situation, given that the Zimbabwe series [for me] starts in few weeks. They [SA Paribahan] should take the responsibility as they have broken my bats,” said Saifuddin to the media.

Bangladesh Cricket Board named Saifuddin for both the ODI and T20 series against hosts Zimbabwe.

He is scheduled to leave Dhaka on July 9 along with a few other cricketers who were named for limited-over formats against the African nation.
