Pakistan U-19 tour of Bangladesh has been pushed back by five days due to the upsurge of Covid-19 cases in the country, and the ongoing week-long countrywide lockdown.
Though there was concern if the series will eventually go ahead, Bangladesh Cricket Board Tuesday informed that the series is happening but delayed by a few days.
“The BCB and Pakistan Cricket Board have agreed on readjusting the itinerary for the Pakistan U-19 team’s tour in consideration of the week-long countrywide Covid-19 restriction on public movement and activities which ends Sunday,” said a media release from BCB.
“The Pakistan U-19 team will now arrive in Bangladesh on April 17 instead of April 12 to play a four-day match and five youth ODIs against the hosts who are the defending U-19 world champions,” the media release added.

The four-day game will begin on April 23 while the one-day matches will be played on April 30, May 2 and 4 respectively.
The last two youth ODIs will be played at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on May 7 and 9.
