Bangladesh Emerging Team left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam continued to stamp his authority over the Ireland Wolves batsmen to leave the visiting side in a precarious position after day two of the lone four-day match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
Heading into the third day’s play Sunday, the Ireland Wolves still trail the hosts by 127 runs after ending day two on 35 for the loss of four wickets in their second innings, three of them taken by Tanvir, who also bagged a five-for in the first innings.
Tanvir had figure of 3/9 from seven overs after helping the home side restrict the tourists for 151 in the first innings, finishing with figure of 5/55.

Bangladesh Emerging Team then managed a substantial 162 first-innings lead after posting 313 before losing all of their wickets, Yasir Ali top-scoring with 92 off 115 balls, including eight fours and five sixes.
Captain Saif Hasan (49), Mahmudul Hasan Joy (42) and Tanzid Hasan (41) chipped in with handy contributions to take the home side to the driving seat.
