The tournament’s new schedule will be announced in October this year
The Asian Champions Trophy Hockey, scheduled to be hosted by Dhaka in March this year, got postponed for the second time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The men’s and women’s events were originally slated for September last year but later got deferred to March.
The tournament’s new schedule will be announced in October this year, said a press from the Asian Hockey Federation.
Hosts Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Korea, Malaysia and Japan were scheduled to take part in the men’s event in Dhaka, with Korea hosting the women’s tournament.
Despite efforts from the Bangladesh Hockey Federation and Korean Hockey Association, the AHF pushed back the events once again keeping the players’ health in mind.
