Maradona, one of the greatest footballers ever to have graced the game, died of heart attack
A minute’s silence was observed Thursday at the Bangabandhu T20 Cup at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in honor of legendary Argentine footballer Diego Maradona, who breathed his last at the age of 60 Wednesday.
Players from Gemcon Khulna, Minister Group Rajshahi, Beximco Dhaka, Gazi Group Chattogram, team staffs, Bangladesh Cricket Board officials, supporting staffs at Mirpur, journalists at the press box and others present paid their tribute to Maradona between the break of Thursday’s two matches.
A video tribute was also displayed at the big screen while the minute’s silence was being observed.
