Archery camp resumes next week

A total of 18 archers will join the camp under the supervision of German head coach Frederick Martin, who stayed back in Dhaka during the corona days

National archery practice camp is set to resume at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi after checking Covid-19 status of all members in three phases starting from Monday, said a media release.

A total of 18 archers will join the camp under the supervision of German head coach Frederick Martin, who stayed back in Dhaka during the corona days.

In the first phase, eight recurve men archers including Ruman Shana and Frederick will go through corona tests at the venue.

In the second phase on August 22, four recurve women archers and in the third and final phase on August 29, six compound men and women archers will follow similar process.

Every player will stay in quarantine and maintain social distance as part of 12 rules set by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

All kind of sports activities of the country had been postponed since March 16 until the government recently decided to allow resuming sports events and training camps in limited scale.
