Dhaka’s Armanitola Government High School and Rangpur’s Keramtia School advanced to the grand finale of the Bangabandhu National School Hockey after winning their respective semi-finals Saturday in the capital’s Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
The two teams, who will meet at the same venue Sunday, recorded closely fought victories in the last four.
In the first semi-final, Keramtia beat Dinajpur Government Jubilee School 2-0 with Al Amin and Rezaul Islam scoring one goal apiece.
In the second semi, Armanitola edged Rajshahi’s Shaheed Mamun Mahmud Police Line School 1-0 with Siam Ahmed Roni netting the all-important goal.
