Bangladesh Cricket Board Wednesday declared the inclusion of Soumya for the ODI to be played at Sylhet International Stadium Friday
Top-order batsman Soumya Sarkar has been included in the Bangladesh squad for the third and final ODI of the series against visitor Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh Cricket Board Wednesday declared the inclusion of Soumya for the ODI to be played at Sylhet International Stadium Friday.
The initial squad from the first two matches of the series however, remains the same as Soumya joined as the 16th member of the team, and as a back-up to another top-order batter Nazmul Hossain Shanto.
Shanto’s availability for the last match of the series turned doubtful after the left-handed batsman suffered an injury during the last game Tuesday.

Bangladesh have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Soumya last played an ODI in July last year during Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI series.
He was part of the T20I series against host Pakistan in January this year.
The southpaw was not available for selection for the first two ODIs for Zimbabwe as he was on leave for marriage.
