South Zone to face East Zone in BCL final

Middle-order batsman Mahmudullah and pacer Al Amin Hossain, who have both been dropped from the squad for the solitary Zimbabwe Test recently, will play for South Zone while another out-of-favor national cricketer Rubel Hossain will turn out for East Zone

Bangladesh Cricket Board South Zone will face off against Islami Bank East Zone in the grand finale of the Bangladesh Cricket League at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, starting Saturday.

Middle-order batsman Mahmudullah and pacer Al Amin Hossain, who have both been dropped from the squad for the solitary Zimbabwe Test recently, will play for South Zone while another out-of-favor national cricketer Rubel Hossain will turn out for East Zone.

Young pacer Hasan Mahmud, member of the squad for the Zimbabwe Test has been released to take part for East Zone.

It will be a five-day encounter between the two teams, as opposed to the four-dayers which were played in the group stage matches.
