Bangladesh Cricket Board is thinking of bringing changes to the contract of Bangladesh spin bowling consultant Daniel Vettori.

The change will be made in order to give Vettori more time in the Bangladesh dressing room and to work with the spinners.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that Vettori is fine with the changes, given that the former New Zealand spinner has got free time in his schedule.

As per the current contract, Vettori is assigned to work 100 days ahead of the World T20I, scheduled to be held in Australia in October this year.

''Yes, we are working on it [tweaking his 100-day contract]. He [Vettori] is quite fine with it as he has time on his hands. But, we must also remember that someone like him staying in the dressing room during international matches will have a [positive] impact on the minds of the players. We need to make sure there is a right balance to ensure we get maximum output from him," said Nizamuddin to the media Tuesday.

Vettori inked the Bangladesh job, replacing Sunil Joshi, in July 2019 and toured India as his first assignment, but pulled out from the tour of Pakistan, along with other Bangladesh team officials, due to security concerns.

Vettori will join the national team Thursday in Dhaka before the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh will lock horns with visiting Zimbabwe in the lone Test match at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.
