Stonier was all praises for his charges and credited the hard work put in over the last one year for their success in the global age-level tournament
Bangladesh strength and conditioning coach Richard Stonier praised the family spirit that exists in the young Tigers camp following their memorable triumph in the U-19 World Cup final against India at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom Sunday.
The young Tigers beat India by three wickets with 23 balls in accordance with the Duckworth/Lewis method to spark wild celebrations back home as the former finally got the number of the latter in a grand finale.
Stonier was all praises for his charges and credited the hard work put in over the last one year for their success in the global age-level tournament.
“These guys have formed a great family with me. This is about the boys, for all the hard work, the sacrifices they have made over the last 12 months. They deserve this. We just work on two things - I just bring energy and show the boys how the best they can be. If they get to 50%, that's good enough,” said Stonier.
