The 26-year-old striker will captain star-studded Bashundhara Kings and hopes to become the top-scorer once again
Sabina Khatun, regarded as a prolific goal-machine in the domestic arena, became the highest paid signing of the women’s football league with Tk5 lakhs.
The 26-year-old striker will captain star-studded Bashundhara Kings and hopes to become the top-scorer once again.
“I’m the most experienced member in the squad so the responsibility is more than before. I want to be the top-scorer again but it will be difficult this time because the opponents are not familiar. But my main focus is to help Bashundhara win the title,” said the national skipper Sunday.
Sabina led Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited to win the premier league title in 2011, netting a total of 25 goals in five matches before joining Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in 2012 where her club finished runners-up, but she did become top-scorer again with 28 goals.
She also played in foreign leagues in Maldives and India and scored a total of 231 goals in 62 matches for club and national team.
