The in-form Bashundhara Kings forward is now expected to miss the start of the Bangladesh Premier League and the AFC Cup
Bangladesh and Bashundhara Kings striker Matin Mia is likely to be out for a month after injuring his hamstring during their Bangabandhu Gold Cup semi-final against Burundi at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Thursday.
Matin suffered the injury during the fourth minute and was reduced to tears as Bangladesh eventually crashed out after losing 3-0.
Matin replaced regular striker Nabib Newaj Jibon in the starting XI after the latter got injured, and the former made an instant impact, scoring twice against Sri Lanka in their second and last group stage match.
The in-form Kings forward is now expected to miss the start of the Bangladesh Premier League and the AFC Cup.
