Palestine are ranked 106th in the latest Fifa ranking – highest among the six participating teams

Palestine football team landed in Dhaka Monday after a 24-hour long flight, ahead of their opening Bangabandhu Gold Cup match against host Bangladesh Wednesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital.

The Palestinians clinched the last edition of the tournament in 2018 after edging Tajikistan on penalties in the final and their manager Jaber Jarin said following their arrival that they are eyeing a defence of their title.
