Bangladesh U-23 cricket team won their second match in succession as they thrashed hapless Bhutan by 10 wickets in their South Asian Games match in Kirtipur, Nepal Friday.
Batting first, Bhutan scored at a pedestrian pace and eventually managed only 69 on the board for the loss of seven wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
Only four Bhutan batsmen reached double digit as Bangladesh bowlers put in another disciplined performance after their convincing victory over Maldives at the same venue Wednesday.
Right-arm seamer Manik Khan bagged two wickets while left-arm paceman Mehedi Hasan Rana, left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam, leg-spinner Minhajul Abedin Afridi and medium pacer Soumya Sarkar picked up one each.
Player of the match Soumya then took up the willow and hammered an unbeaten 50 off 28 balls featuring five fours and three sixes.
