The University Of Liberal Arts Bangladesh celebrated the “UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities” Thursday with a friendly T20 match between the cricketers of the national wheelchair team in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
The Bangladesh wheelchair team were divided into two sides - Red and Green.
The Red team was captained by Mohammad Mohsin while the Green side was skippered by Noor Nahian.
The Green team clinched victory by three wickets.
Asked to bat first, the Red team scored 142 runs losing five wickets in their stipulated 20 overs with opener Ripon top-scoring with 70 off just 50 balls.
In reply, Green team posted 143 in 18.3 overs with Mohidul and Morshed scoring 38 and 33 respectively.

Nafiur took three wickets for the Red team.
During the occasion, ULAB’s registrar, Professor Akhter Ahmed and treasurer, Professor Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee presented their speeches.
Noor handed over the jersey to Professor Akhter while Mohsin did the same, handing over the jersey to Professor Bhattacharjee.
“With this match, ULAB hopes to inspire its community to engage in sports and champion the cause of differently abled persons,” said ULAB vice chancellor HM Jahirul haque.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh wheelchair team are going to participate in the Komens Cup Tournament 2020 alongside India, Nepal and Afghanistan in Uttarkhand, India from December 20 to 24.
Media celebrities Nowshin and Hillol attended the prize giving ceremony as the chief guests.
