Bangladesh U-19 batsman Tawhid Hridoy completed an amazing hat-trick of centuries as his side beat their Sri Lankan counterparts Tuesday to end the five-match youth ODI series with an emphatic 4-0 win at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

Tawhid, the 18-year old right-handed batsman, who made 115 and 123 not out and 82 not out in the previous matches of the series, scored 111 off 102 with the aid of three fours and five sixes to help his side post 283/7 before Sri Lanka were bundled out for 233/7.

After winning the toss, Bangladesh lost their opener Pritom Kumar for just one but one-down Prantik Nowroz Nabil, who made 65, added 57 and 69 respectively with Sajjad Hossain (21) and Tawhid to keep the run wheel going.

Tawhid added another 100 with Parvez Hossain Emon that ensured a healthy total in the end.

In reply, the visitor lost two wickets within seven runs but opener Mohammad Shahmaz, who scored 40, and Ravindu Rashantha resurrected the innings with a 87-run stand.

Rashantha continued his onslaught before being stumped in the 32nd over, scoring 84 and leaving the side on 173/5, from where they could not recover.

Hasan Murad and Shahin Alam got two wickets each.

Earlier, these two sides finished the two-match youth Test series 0-0 before the first youth ODI was washed out.

The young Tigers won the remaining matches of the series to stamp their authority over their Asian rival.
