Youngster Nazmul Hossain Shanto was named captain as Bangladesh Cricket Board Sunday evening announced the 15-member Emerging Team squad for the Emerging Asia Cup.
Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Naim, Afif Hossain, Aminul Islam and Abu Haider, who are all part of Bangladesh’s T20I squad against India, have been included in the Emerging side.
A total of eight teams will take part in the fourth edition of the tournament, to be hosted by Bangladesh.
Group A comprises Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Oman while Group B contains Bangladesh, India, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.

The second-string Tigers in red and green will take on Hong Kong, India and the UAE on November 14, 16 and 18 respectively.
The Group A matches will be held in Cox’s Bazar while the Group B games will take place in Dhaka’s BKSP.
Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium will host the semi-finals (November 20 and 21) and final (November 23).
