PM Hasina, Mamata to ring Eden Gardens bell

Cricket Association of Bengal secretary Avishek Dalmiya confirmed this to the media at Eden Gardens

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will jointly ring the Eden Gardens bell prior to the historic day-night Test match between the Tigers and India, scheduled to be held in Kolkata from November 22-26.

Cricket Association of Bengal secretary Avishek Dalmiya confirmed this to the media at Eden Gardens.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been invited alongside former tennis player Leander Paes and badminton coach Pullela Gopichand.

Among those who have confirmed their presence for the second and final Test at the City of Joy include tennis player Sania Mirza, badminton player PV Sindhu, ex-shooter Abhinav Bindra and boxer Mary Kom.

The CAB also plans to felicitate the team members of the first ever Test between Bangladesh and India in 2000.
