City Group had earlier inked a five-year deal with the Bangladesh Archery Federation on October 23, 2017, to improve the prospects of archery in the country
City Group said it would provide Bangladesh Archery Federation Tk2.41 crores for the 2019-20 season, which will be the sponsor’s third year of the five-year deal with the federation.
The amount includes Tk72 lakhs for event management and Tk1.61 crores for development purposes.
City Group had earlier inked a five-year deal with the BAF on October 23, 2017, to improve the prospects of archery in the country.
In the last two years, Bangladesh garnered 15 gold, 18 silver and 10 bronze medals in international tournaments and City Group has played a pivotal role behind the successes.
In a press conference Saturday at the Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium in Dhaka, City Group (Teer) executive director (marketing and sales) Zafar Uddin Siddiqui praised the performances of the Bangladesh archers, especially Mohammad Ruman Shana, and pledged further support in future.
BAF general secretary Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapal and Bangladesh team’s German head coach Martin Frederick were also present among others during the presser.
