Bangladesh will take on Nepal in their third game at the same venue Tuesday before rounding off their round-robin campaign against Kyrgyzstan a day later

Bangladesh lost to Maldives by 3-0 sets in their second match of the Bangamata Asian Senior Women’s Central Zone International Volleyball Championship at Shaheed Sohrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka Sunday.

The women in red and green, who beat Afghanistan by the same margin Saturday in their opening match, lost the first set 25-16 before conceding the second 27-25. 

Like the second set, Bangladesh put up a brave fight in the third set but still lost 25-22 as Maldives took a step closer to the final.

Maldives’ Aminath Arisha was adjudged player of the match.

Bangladesh will take on Nepal in their third game at the same venue Tuesday before rounding off their round-robin campaign against Kyrgyzstan a day later.

In the other game of the day, Nepal defeated the Afghanistan, winning the three sets 25-4, 25-9, 25-6.

Nepal’s Protiva Mali was named player of the match.

In Monday’s games, Kyrgyzstan will take on Nepal at 1pm while Afghanistan will face off against Maldives at 3pm.
